“Mocking Jay Girls Fly Away”
Away from Civilization
Alone in the world
Will anybody help her?
That Poor Little Girl
Young enough to be a child
Living in her own special world
Always having to defend herself
Nobody cares about that girl
As she jumps and flees
Concealed by the trees
She wishes to be
Loved by the world
But she is unfortunate
Poor Little Girl
Until along comes
A sisterly teen
With a bad attitude
But she has reason to be mean
They had forced her to fight
She had no control
They tried to take her life
They tried to steal her soul
But she was so smart
She wouldn’t lower herself to the pits of despair
That her friends and enemies clung to so desperately
As she jumps and flees
Concealed by the trees
She wishes not to be
Loved by the world
Bust she’s caught their attention
Now she is the target
Forced to play their Hunger Games
Poor Little Girl
But they take flight together
Hidden with ease
Katniss and Rue hidden in the trees
They were each pieces
In a deadly game
Once they started playing
Things were never quite the same
Poor Little Girls…
This was a poem that I wrote for language arts class several weeks ago, I hope you guys enjoy it!
May the odds be ever in your favor!
Xoxo,
